Predisan
What is Predisan?
Since 1986, the staff and volunteers of Predisan Health Ministry have answered God’s call to bring physical healing and spiritual hope to the people of Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras. This underserved part of Honduras struggles with huge gaps in basic healthcare and limited educational and financial opportunities.
Predisan is dedicated to God’s call to provide primary health services, facilitate a rehabilitation program for addictions, build hope through community development and young leader scholarships, and through each service proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. The Mission staff are over 300 Honduran professionals and technical personnel including 18 chaplains who provide care and services for a population of over 150,000.
Northlake supported Predisan’s founding missionaries, Dr. Robert and Doris Clark, and later Celia Lett, RN, Karen Gage, PT, Kyle and Bety Huhtanen. Currently, the church contributes to the pastoral work and sends short term work teams each year. A number of Northlakes’ members serve on Predisan’s board of directors.
