What is GriefShare?
GriefShare is a recovery program that supports those needing care from the pain that follows the loss of a loved one. We grieve because we have loved. The Christ-centered journey draws from God’s Word, from professional counselors on video and from the shared experiences of participants who comfort one another as they walk the journey together. As one participant said, “We have cried, laughed, and shared together and grown in healthy ways.”
The Format
The program has 14 weekly sessions build on one another, but each can stand alone and focuses on a helpful theme. For this reason, the program can work as an “emergency room” and any grieving person is welcomed to enter for solace. Sessions utilize video seminars that provide insights from experts, a workbook for journaling, daily reflections and encouragement and most importantly, the support of the group that assures us that we are not alone. The program is guided by an experienced leadership/facilitator team tohelp you share your journey from mourning to joy.
