Adult classes are our weekly opportunity to study and discuss scripture as we strive to better understand who God is and who we are called to be as followers of Jesus. These smaller, informal gatherings are a great time to meet, connect and encourage one another as we faithfully explore and question how our faith influences our daily lives.
As a result of time spent together in study of scripture, fellowship, and prayer, our adult community has built deep and lasting relationships within our church family. We invite you to join with us as we follow Jesus together!

This class provides a space where people can come together and spend time listening to God, talking to God, asking God to bring the Kingdom, and reflecting on God’s work in our lives and the life of our church. Although the class is designed for the practice of prayer, rather than learning about prayer, you may also experience new ways of praying in the process. Each week the group will pray together on a topic or theme, but there is also space to bring your joys and concerns to pray with, and be prayed for by, this community.

If you love to praise God in song, join the worship team in the sanctuary as we sing through the day’s worship lineup in advance of the service. Although we do work on getting the harmonies
right, this is more than a “rehearsal” – it’s a time of worship, fellowship, and spiritual formation.
You can participate as much or as little as you like—on mic or off, sitting with the worship team or kneeling in the back, singing along or just listening.

This class is a textually-based study of Scripture that includes some historical background on the text, discussion of the text’s main themes, and reflection on how to apply those themes to our
lives. This class typically studies the New Testament in the spring, the Old Testament in the fall, and topics in biblical theology in the summer.
Facilitator: Lauren Calvin-Cooke
In this class, we practice noticing and discussing the ways God is at work in our everyday lives. We might share our testimonies with each other, consider the spiritual aspects of our jobs, or look for the presence of God in that week’s newspaper. While the Scripture class begins with the biblical text and applies it to our lives, this class is the reverse: we begin by sharing our lives and stories, and then help each other perceive God’s presence, notice scriptural themes, and learn to see every part of our lives through the lens of faith.
Young adults and parents gather together for a discussion of the previous week’s worship and sermon.
International members (for whom English is a second language) are invited to join a relaxed, welcoming class, for a time for fellowship and sharing, review of the scripture used for the Sunday service, and prayer.
LIFE Groups are the core of growing discipleship and supportive church life. Jesus calls us to Love, Involvement, Fellowship, and Evangelism. In small groups we connect and grow as we pray, study, fellowship, care for one another, minister and share faith with others.
Women are invited to join the Women’s Book Study for prayer and a book discussion.
Men are invited to join the Men’s Bible Study in the Forum downstairs for prayer and discussion of a biblical text.
Do you like reading and discussing books that deal with current issues facing Christians and how we can live more effectively in Christ on a daily basis? Then join us on Wednesday evening for an hour of fellowship and discussion of contemporary as well as classic writings helpful to our understanding of challenges in today’s world as how we deal with them as believers in Jesus. (See the books we’ve read since 2014 here.)
Beginning Wednesday, December 3rd, we will be studying Hidden Christmas: The Surprising Truth Behind the Birth of Christ by Timothy Keller.
