WELCOME HOME, KYLE

Northlake Church welcomes Kyle Huhtanen, our missionary who has worked 12 years in the country of Honduras.  If you don’t know Kyle, take advantage of his visit to invite him for coffee.  He began his mission work as a single young man learning Spanish and the culture of Honduras by living with a family in a rural village.  The last ten years he has  worked with Mission Predisan in Catacamas where he met Bety.  They now have two precious daughters, Mia and Emily.

Kyle has used his professional skills as an architect not only to coordinate the construction of the Predisan Family Health Center in 2002, but also for designing other buildings, structural improvements, and maintenance plans for Predisan and community clients.   Kyle’s organizational and interpersonal skills make him an effective leader within Predisan, in the community, and in the church.   As International Relations Coordinator, he facilitates the partnership of visiting volunteers and groups with Predisan and the community.    In 2010 Predisan received over 300 total volunteers, and this year is partnering with approximately 15 groups, one of which was our own Northlake service team who worked for a week in the village of El Cacao.

Kyle arrives in Atlanta on Sept 15 and returns to Honduras on Sept 26th.  His agenda includes visits and various opportunities to speak about the work of the Predisan ministry.  He will share on Wednesday evening  Sept 22, 7:00pm at Northlake, also on Sunday morning Sept 25 with the youth group, and later with all who attend the fellowship potluck luncheon hosted by Care Teams 1 and 6.   You are invited!  Please greet him with southern hospitality and encourage him as God’s minister in Honduras.

We are disappointed that he can’t stay for this year’s Predisan Walk for Honduras on October 2, but his girls and Mission Predisan need him  back in Honduras!
