WALK FOR HONDURAS PROVIDES HOPE

The bar-b-que sandwich lunch was a tasty energizer for 250+ walkers who met at the Greater Atlanta Christian School athletic stadium on October 2nd and then participated in the 6th Annual Predisan Walk for Honduras.  With perfect fall weather, nearly everyone enjoyed the 5K walk/run with friends.  As we walked we remembered Predisan’s 25 years of ministry.  We remembered that this ministry is helping provide opportunities for moms/kids/families and communities in eastern Honduras—moms walking with their kids to the rural clinics to be immunized or receive treatment for illnesses and wounds; school kids walking to school and benefited by health check-ups and daily snack program,  men and women recovering from addiction through drug rehab therapy,  couples gaining hope through counseling, and young people hearing Jesus’ message of love and finding purpose even in difficult circumstances.

Donations from generous sponsors and the walk fees brought the total funds raised to more than $75,000!    Your gifts of compassion, prayer, and faith partnership are handed to God like the “five loaves and two fish” to be multiplied for the proclamation of Jesus and healing of thousands of lives in 2012.
