More than 40 Northlake ladies enjoyed a special morning together on November 12. The theme “Cracked Pots and Hidden Treasure” led us to consider our brokenness and obstacles in life, but also to see God’s transforming power and the treasures that He has placed in us through innate talents, developed skills, and most importantly the indwelling presence of His Holy Spirit who is our peace and empowers our spiritual journey.
The day included worship led by Sammye Banker and guided conversation within small groups facilitated by Chalis Montgomery. We had ample time for fellowship, admiring gifts and talents we saw in one another, enjoying delicious foods, and even doing a bit of Christmas shopping among the displays of beautiful note cards painted by talented Elizabeth Stewart and unique jewelry made by women of Uganda and sold by promoter Mary Shearon.
