Ike Reeser Accepts the Role of Preaching Minister

 Ike

The elders are pleased to announce that Ike Reeser has accepted the position of Preaching Minister at Northlake. This comes at the conclusion of a six-month, nationwide search process during which a lengthy list of qualified applicants was considered and evaluated.

Ike has served Northlake for 28 years in a variety of capacities, most notably in the role of Children’s Minister. In serving as one of several interim preachers over the last year, we feel Ike has grown as a minister of God’s word, just as the church has grown used to seeing him in that role. Ike brings a strong and meaningful history with the church family, as well as pastoral care skills which are essential to the role as we have defined it. We have great confidence that Ike is ready for this new challenge and will excel in it.

We feel the need to express our thanks to our Search Committee, which did an outstanding job of vetting candidates and narrowing the list to a short one. We would also like to thank all those who filled the pulpit in the interim, and the congregation for its patience during the process.

But most of all we would like to thank God. All of us have been praying fervently that God would make known to us the person that He wanted to fill this vital role within His church. We believe He has answered that prayer!  And we could not be more pleased and excited!
