Georgia Agape

Georgia AGAPE brings the transforming power of God into the lives of children who desperately need love and care. AGAPE provides foster care and adoption services and places abused, neglected and dependent children in Christian homes.  Northlake has been a faithful supporter of this ministry, with members serving as foster and adoptive parents, volunteers, leaders, and financial contributors.  Northlake members donated almost $15,000 during our Thanksgiving Appeal last November, a great demonstration of generosity and love.

More foster parents are needed!  Over 3 million reports of child abuse and neglect in the United States are being made every year nationwide, with about 100,000 reports each year in Georgia.  AGAPE reaches in and rescues children, bringing them into loving Christian families to meet their needs, keep them safe, promote  physical and emotional healing, and provide hope for their future. But AGAPE does not have enough foster families to respond to all the calls for placement.  Sadly, every week we must turn down children in need.

Northlake has recently hosted foster parent training classes for Georgia AGAPE, and we’re still seeking foster families.  Please consider how you might support this ministry, as a foster or adoptive family, financial supporter,  volunteer, or in prayer.
