BIBLE STORY: Genesis 21:8-21 Hagar and Ishmael
CRAFT: Mail a Hug!
Make a paper hug by tracing your hands and cutting them out. Then color and cut out the heart. Cut 2 pieces of string the length of your arm and tape your paper hands to the end of the string. Then tape the other end of the string onto the heart. Mail your hug to someone!
ACTIVITY:
When we are filled with God’s Love, we can share it with other people. Fill a bucket with water and place a cup a distance away from the bucket. Soak the sponge in the bucket and run to the cup and squeeze the water in. Time yourself to see how long it takes you to fill up the cup.
TALK TOGETHER:
*You have to go back to the water bucket to refill the sponge. Do you have to go back to God to be filled with his love?
*What are some things you do to be filled with God’s love? Pray? Read your bible? Sing songs?
*How do you show God’s love to others?

FAMILY MISSION:
In your packet this week, you’ll find an envelope addressed to a member of our church. Write them a note, draw them a picture, or mail them your hug! The envelope is ready to go with the address and stamp. All you have to do is fill the envelope and put it in the mail!
PRAYER:
We thank you, Lord, for the beauty and wonder of your creation, in earth and sky and sea. We thank you, Lord, for our daily food and drink, our homes and families, and our friends. We thank you, Lord, for minds to think, and hearts to love, and hands to serve. We thank you, Lord, for health and strength to work and rest and play. We thank you, Lord, for all sons and daughters of the King, in all times and places, who share in your communion. Amen!
