Joel Artista & Artolution mural, Washington D.C.

Joel Artista and his team at Artolution create collaborative murals around the world, like this Washington D.C. mural that was made in collaboration with asylum seekers from Central America. This mural is a reminder of Mary and the many mothers who carry children in uncertain times, and the children who shine the light of hope in the darkness.

The words of Mary imagine a world changed by new life! Pray with her! Proclaim the GOOD NEWS!

“My soul glorifies the Lord

and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

for God has been mindful

of the humble state of God’s servant.

From now on all generations will call me blessed,

for the Mighty One has done great things for me—

    holy is God’s name.

God’s mercy extends to those who fear God,

    from generation to generation.

God has performed mighty deeds with God’s arm;

God has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

God has brought down rulers from their thrones

but has lifted up the humble.

God has filled the hungry with good things

but has sent the rich away empty.

God has helped God’s servant Israel,

    remembering to be merciful

to Abraham and his descendants forever,

just as God promised our ancestors.”
