“…How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” Sunday, we praised our gracious God for his love and good news for all peoples in all nations–that includes us! We remembered with appreciation the beautiful feet of Northlake members, missionaries, and partner ministries who participate in God’s work in our community and throughout the world. We thrilled to hear God’s word read in Spanish, Korean, and Nepali by Felipe, Hyun Joung, and Khare, and then in English by the Massey family and their Croatian friends from Zagreb (through skype technology.) The Noguchi family brought sweet blessing to us as they sang in Japanese about God’s marvelous grace. We enjoyed wearing the distinctive dress of other countries which reminded us of our international friendships and ties, as well as the DVD that showed the work of Mission Predisan in Honduras. We heard the Holy Spirit commission us again to proclaim the good news of Jesus for ALL people to ALL people. “Everyone who believes that Jesus is Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13.) This salvation brings us into one body serving one Lord here at Northlake!
Our celebration concluded with wonderful fellowship and the delicious culinary wonders from many cultures! “Lord, make our feet beautiful” is our prayer today as we walk in our offices, into the classroom, through the shops, and in our homes.
