Adult Summer Education Classes
Beginning Sunday, June 3, 9:00am
The Monday Connection: Joining God as He Works Out His Mission Around Us – Room 205. Every Sunday we worship a God whose heart burns with a mission to redeem the world. And every Monday we enter spaces that are constructed radically different – offices, classrooms, board rooms, etc. We all struggle to make the “The Monday Connection” – ensuring the faith we celebrate on Sunday is alive and active in our Monday spaces. The Connections and Koinonia groups will be listening to the personal stories of Northlake members who are on the journey of figuring out this “Monday Connection.”
Reading Chronicles for All Its Worth: Historical and Spiritual Lessons from Ancient Israel – Chapel. While many have regarded 1-2 Chronicles as little more than a supplement to Samuel & Kings, most scholars have come to a more profound appreciation of the work, seeing it as a deeply spiritual and well-crafted composition with its own theological message. This study, led by Pat Graham in the Prime Timers class, will take up one king at a time to explore the author’s theological message for later generations.
Spanish Bible Study – Room 202. If you would like to study scripture in Spanish, please join Felipe Baltazar and a group of Spanish-speaking friends.
Sacred Questions – Room 204. The College and Young Professionals will be entering into the sacred task of questioning everything! Each week a different topic, along with our certainties about them, will be questioned as we seek to grow spiritually.
